PENGGUNAAN JEJARING SOSIAL DAN LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM PADA PEMBELAJARAN DI TINGKAT PERGURUAN TINGGI
Abstract
Institusi perguruan tinggi saat ini menghadapi tantangan yang lebih besar untuk berubah dan mengalami berbagai transformasi di sekitarnya lingkungan termasuk teknologi dengan sangat cepat. Dalam hal ini pengajar mendapatkan tantangan dan berusaha mengeksplorasi berbagai cara baru dalam meningkatkan teknik mengajar mereka. Penelitian ini dikhususkan untuk menyelidiki penggunaan situs jejaring sosial ataupun Learning Management System di lembaga pendidikan tinggi. Untuk tujuan ini dua tujuan dirumuskan (1) untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pemakaian jejaring social oleh siswa (2) mengetahui penggunaan jejaring social dalam penggunaannya untuk media dalam memberikan bahan ajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan eksploratif dengan menggunakan desain survei deskriptif dimana sampel 10% (215 mahasiswa) diambil dari kampus mahasiswa/i AMIK Bina Sarana Informatika Jakarta Jakarta dan STMIK Nusa Mandiri Jakarta. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa Sosial Networking Service (SNS) ataupun Learning Management System (Learning Management System) merupakan pilihan yang dapat diandalkan karena para mahasiswa tidak hanya anggota situs jejaring sosial namun juga mayoritas memiliki akses ke perangkat teknologi yang dibutuhkan. Selain itu, rekomendasi untuk memastikan pembelajaran otentik dipresentasikan. Peneliti merekomendasikan eksplorasi pemanfaatan situs jejaring sosial yang ada untuk belajar bersamaan dengan pemangku kepentingan utama.
